Dr. Guillermo Lanuza is an Investigator of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET). He received his degree in Chemical Sciences at the School of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires, where he later obtained his Ph.D. He was as a postdoc (HFSP fellowship) and Research Associate at the Molecular Neurobiology Lab  at the Salk Institute, La Jolla, CA where he performed a functional analysis of spinal neuron development. He was appointed as Project Director at the Fundación Instituto Leloir leading the Developmental Neurobiology Lab. His group focuses on the developmental mechanisms controlling the ontogenetic diversification of neuronal and glial subtypes in the central nervous system.
